How the contestants are judged
The New York Senior America Pageant is dedicated to dispelling the myths of aging. During the pageant, you will be graded on the following criteria.
Personal interview 30%
Before the pageant begins, the judges meet privately with each contestant for 5 minutes to gain insight to her personality, poise and ability to communicate. The purpose of the interview is to determine how well the contestant would represent Ms. New York Senior America with the public and the media.
